How Working With Bookkeep Boss Begins
If you are looking for cleanup bookkeeping, catch-up work, or ongoing monthly bookkeeping, Bookkeep Boss follows a structured, review-first process before any work is recommended or priced.
This process helps identify the actual condition of your records and recommend the right path forward for your business.

Step 1: Introductory Call
The introductory call is a short fit conversation where we discuss your business, your current bookkeeping situation, and the support you may need.
We may talk about whether your books are current or behind, the accounts and systems involved, and what you need your financial records to support, such as tax preparation, lender requests, property-level reporting, trust accounting, or monthly financial visibility.
You do not need to prepare your books or have every answer before the call.
The call is not a detailed QuickBooks review or a final quote. When Bookkeep Boss is the right fit, the Bookkeeping Review is the next step.
Step 2: Bookkeeping Review
The Bookkeeping Review is a paid assessment completed before cleanup, catch-up work, setup work, or ongoing monthly bookkeeping is scoped or priced.
Your QuickBooks Online file and any connected systems that affect the records are reviewed to identify what is actually in place and what needs attention. This may include reconciliations, account balances, loans, owner activity, old Balance Sheet items, transaction classifications, payment processor activity, and the bookkeeping structure needed for your business.
A transaction count alone does not show whether a business is ready for monthly bookkeeping or needs prior work completed first. The review prevents a guess-based quote and creates a more reliable starting point.
What You Receive
After the review, you receive:
- Written findings and recommended next steps
- A defined scope for any cleanup, catch-up, setup, or monthly bookkeeping work needed
- Clear pricing, including any optional add-ons
- A Review Results Call to discuss the findings, recommended approach, and pricing before work begins
The Bookkeeping Review is an assessment and planning service. It does not include cleanup work, reconciliations, transaction entry, QuickBooks corrections, payroll work, tax filings, or monthly bookkeeping.
Step 3: Findings, Scope, and Pricing
During the Review Results Call, we walk through what was found and discuss the recommended path forward.
Some businesses are ready for monthly support. Others need cleanup, catch-up work, reconciliations, or corrections before monthly bookkeeping can begin.
You will know what is recommended, why it is needed, what is included, and what it will cost before deciding whether to move forward.
Step 4: Cleanup or Monthly Bookkeeping
When prior work is needed, the goal is to create a more reliable starting point.
Once accounts are reconciled, prior issues are addressed, and the bookkeeping process is clear, ongoing monthly bookkeeping can begin when it is the right fit. Monthly support is built around keeping accounts reconciled, records organized, and financial reports ready to support tax planning, tax preparation, business decisions, lender requests, and communication with your CPA or other tax professional.
